Daniel J. Close, CFA
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Nuveen Investments
Dan manages a number of state-specific, tax-exempt portfolios, including the Georgia Municipal Bond, Kentucky Municipal Bond, Michigan Municipal Bond, North Carolina Municipal Bond, Ohio Municipal Bond and Tennessee Municipal Bond strategies and related institutional accounts. He also serves as portfolio manager for national closed-end funds and is the lead portfolio manager for the firm’s Taxable Municipal strategies. Dan began his career in the financial industry in 1998 and joined Nuveen Asset Management in 2000. Prior to his current position, he served as a research analyst covering the corporate-backed, energy, transportation and utility sectors. Before joining the firm, he worked as an analyst at Bank of America Securities specializing in originating and structuring asset-backed securities.
Dan received a B.S. in business from Miami University in Ohio and an M.B.A. at the J. L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.

Thomas Hall Dinsmore
Chairman - Dinsmore Capital Management Company
Tom Dinsmore is the Chairman and Portfolio Manager of Bancroft Fund Ltd. (BCV) and Ellsworth Convertible Fund Ltd. (ECF) and Chairman of Dinsmore Capital Management Company (the adviser to the funds). He joined these firms in 1983 after spending two years on the convertible arbitrage desk at Morgan Stanley & Co. He is the Past President of the Closed-End Fund Association and a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts and the CFA Institute. Through the two funds, he is a member of the Closed-End Fund Subcommittee of the Investment Company Institute. He has presented on Closed-end funds and Convertible Securities before Financial Analysts and national investment organizations. Tom is a CFA charter holder, received his B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Master’s degree in Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Jon Diorio

Jon Diorio is a member of
BlackRock’s Product Management and Development Group. Mr. Diorio is
responsible for U.S. retail product management, development and strategy
within Blackrock’s U.S. Wealth Advisory division. In addition, Mr.
Diorio is responsible for overseeing BlackRock’s Closed-End Fund
business. Prior to joining BlackRock, he held various roles at DWS
Investments, the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank. Most recently,
Mr. Diorio was a Director in DWS’s retail sales division. In previous
roles, he was head of closed-end funds for DWS, along with a portfolio
specialist for DWS’s alternative mutual funds. Mr. Diorio earned a BA
degree in Finance from Loyola University and an MBA degree with a
concentration in Finance and Economics from NYU, Stern School of
Business. In addition, he earned the Certified Investment Management
Analyst designation through the Investment Management Consultants
Association in conjunction with the Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania. He has his series 6,63,7,and 24 licenses.

Alison DuPont
Senior Funds Marketing Manager-US - Aberdeen Asset Management
Alison duPont is a senior funds manager responsible for creating and delivering marketing strategies for Aberdeen Asset Management’s U.S. closed-end fund complex. She is also responsible for the funds’ investor relations program. She joined the firm in 2011 as a marketing communications manager. Aberdeen Asset Management is a global leader in investments and a member of the FTSE 100 Index, one of the most widely used stock indices. Previously, Alison spent nearly 14 years at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firm, Smith Barney, where she was responsible for marketing a variety of investment strategies. She holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware and a M.A. in communication studies from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Alison currently serves as secretary for Aberdeen Asset Management’s U.S. charitable foundation.

He served as president of Tortoise Capital Resources (TTO) from April 2007 to June 2012. Mr. Russell serves as a director for Abraxas Petroleum Corp. (NASDAQ: AXAS). Previously, Mr. Russell was a managing director at Stifel, Nicolaus & Company Inc., where he headed the energy and power group. At Stifel, Mr. Russell was responsible for all energy and power transactions, including all of the debt and equity transactions for the Tortoise funds, starting with the first fund’s initial public equity offering in February 2004. |
