Thomas Alonso, CFA
Vice President of Investor Relations — Prospect Capital Corporation

Thomas Alonso is Vice President of Investor Relations and has more than 10 years’ experience in equity research. Prior to joining Prospect in 2015, he was Vice President Senior Analyst at Macquarie on its US Banks team, responsible for research coverage of a broad universe of US based banks. He was previously the financial services industry analyst for First Investors Management Company and a research associate at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC covering banks. Tom received a BBA in Finance from Baruch College in 2000 and is a CFA charterholder.


Renee Baker
Senior Manager, CEF Marketing & Investor Relations — Aberdeen Asset Management

Renee Baker is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for Aberdeen Asset Management’s U.S. closed-end fund complex. She is also responsible for the funds’ investor relations program. She joined Aberdeen in 2014 from OppenheimerFunds where she was responsible for institutional marketing. Renee has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry and holds a B.S. from Rutgers University and a M.B.A. from Penn State, Smeal College of Business.


Collin Bell
Managing Director & Senior Client Portfolio Manager — Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Collin Bell is a senior client portfolio manager on Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Fundamental Equity team, responsible for US Value and related equity income portfolios, including Income Builder, REITs and Master Limited Partnership (MLP) strategies. Previously, he was a research analyst for the Real Estate Securities team. He joined Goldman Sachs in the Investment Management Division in 1997 and was named managing director in 2013. Collin earned a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.


Brian Buehring
Vice President & Portfolio Specialist — Nuveen Investments

Brian Buehring works as a closed-end fund specialist with Nuveen’s sales force and the advisors they serve in the western half of the United States.  He helps financial advisors evaluate and understand the array of income solutions offered by Nuveen’s family of closed-end funds. Prior to joining Nuveen Investments in 2014, Brian spent 17 years in consultative investment field sales. Recently, Buehring was a Director, Regional Manager at MFS Investments in greater Los Angeles covering all channels of distribution. Prior to MFS, Brian was a Director, Regional Manager with AllianceBernstein for nine years, delivering investment ideas and Advisor Institute curriculum. He also served as national trainer for the firm, and has also held positions with JPMorgan & SunAmerica. Buehring holds a combined bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and economics from University of California Santa Cruz, and a CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) designation from the Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley. He is FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 registered.


Jon Diorio
Managing Director — BlackRock

Jon is responsible for US retail product management, development and strategy within Blackrock’s US Wealth Advisory division.  In addition, Jon is responsible for overseeing BlackRock’s Closed-End Fund business. Prior to joining BlackRock, Jon held various roles at DWS Investments, the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank.  Most recently, Jon was a Director in DWS’s retail sales division. In previous roles, Jon was head of closed-end funds for DWS, along with a portfolio specialist for DWS’s alternative mutual funds. Jon earned a BA degree in Finance from Loyola University and an MBA degree with a concentration in Finance and Economics from NYU- Stern School of Business.  In addition, he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation through the Investment Management Consultants Association in conjunction with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  Jon has his series 6,63,7,and 24 licenses.



Pam Kearney
Vice President, Director of Investor Relations — Tortoise Capital Advisors, LLC

Pam Kearney joined Tortoise Capital in 2005. Previously, Ms. Kearney held investor and public relations positions with H&R Block, YRC Worldwide, The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Marion Merrell Dow. Ms. Kearney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Avila University (Kansas City) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker University (Baldwin, Kan.). She holds the Public Relations Society of America Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®) designations.
   

Christopher Kilpatrick
Portfolio Manager — Western Asset (Legg Mason)

Christopher Kilpatrick joined Western Asset in 2003. Previously, he was a High-Yield Loan Trader and Senior Structure Analyst at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), and before that he worked at GMAC Mortgage Corporation. Christopher received his MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and his BS in Finance from California State University, Long Beach.
   

Rennie McConnochie
Head of Global Banks — Aberdeen Asset Management

Rennie McConnochie joined Aberdeen Asset Management in February 2013 working in the closed-end fund area. Rennie has worked in the investment industry for 29 years. Previously, he was responsible for the European Equity business and, later, for investment research in the region for Merrill Lynch. He then became CEO of Bridgewell PLC, an investment bank in London. Before joining Aberdeen in New York, he was a partner at RP Capital, an investment and advisory company specializing in emerging markets.



John Miller, CFA
Managing Director, Co-Head of Fixed Income — Nuveen Investments

John Miller serves in a strategic role as the co-head of fixed income and  is responsible for the investment process and performance of the firm’s municipal fixed income group. John oversees Nuveen Asset Management’s actively managed investment approach and is also the lead manager of the High Yield Municipal Bond strategy, the California High Yield Municipal Bond strategy and related institutional portfolios. In addition, John co-manages the All-American Municipal Bond strategy and the Strategic Municipal Opportunities Strategy and oversees a number of closed-end funds. John’s background features nearly 20 years of experience in the municipal marketplace. His trusted public voice has brought him frequent guest spots on CNBC, Bloomberg Television and Fox Business News and he is often sought out by leading industry media such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Bloomberg News and Morningstar. John earned a BA in economics and political science from Duke University; an MA in economics from Northwestern University; and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.



Stephen Minar
Vice President — BlackRock

Stephen Minar is a member of BlackRock’s Product and Platform Group. Stephen is responsible for overseeing BlackRock’s closed-end fund business. Prior to joining BlackRock, Stephen worked in Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley where he was primarily responsible for the structuring and sale of closed-end fund initial public offerings and secondary market capital issuances. In a previous role at Morgan Stanley, Stephen was a Research Analyst covering both closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds. Stephen received his B.A. from Xavier University, summa cum laude, with a concentration in Finance.



Jonathan Morgan
President & CEO — Canadian General Investments, Limited

Jonathan Morgan is principal of Morgan Meighan & Associates and President and CEO of Canadian General Investments, Limited and Canadian World Fund Limited. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in the industry. In addition to being the lead investor relations representative, his responsibilities include portfolio management, strategic planning, business development and security analysis. Jonathan is a Certified Investment Manager (CIM).



F. Barry Nelson, CFA
Partner — Advent Capital Management

F. Barry Nelson is a Partner of Advent Capital Management, LLC, who retired in 2013 but continues to serve as a Consultant to the firm. During his 17 years as Senior VP and Co-Portfolio Manager of Advent, he contributed to the creation, management and marketing of the firm’s three NYSE-listed closed-end funds and other key strategies, and Advent’s AUM grew from under $100 million to several billion dollars. Barry also spent 17 years at Value Line, serving as Lead Manager of the Value Line Convertible Fund and Research Director of the Value Line Convertibles Survey. He led the creation of five open-end funds at Value Line. Barry began his investment career at Value Line in 1972 as an Analyst Trainee. He earned a BA at New York University, an MBA at St. John’s University, and a Certificate in Bond Portfolio Management & Analysis at the University of Illinois. Barry is a CFA® charterholder. He served in the US Army in Europe.


Brian Sulley, CFA
Vice President—Tortoise Capital Advisors, LLC

Brian joined Tortoise Capital in 2010. Mr. Sulley focuses on business and product development. Previously, he served as a senior financial analyst with the Cerner Corp., where he was responsible for financial modeling and analysis across business lines. Mr. Sulley graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance and a Master of Science in finance. He is a CFA charterholder.
