Distribution Yield Figures Adjusted
Users of the Closed-End Fund Association website may notice a difference in the figures being reported for Distribution Yield at Market and at NAV. Our data provider has made an adjustment in their methodology to more closely reflect the true nature of a distribution yield figure.
The Yield data definition that we currently use for this performance figure is correct, but you can also look at the Distribution Yield figures as:
Sum of income, capital gains and return of capital distributions over most recent 12 months
Divided by ending Market Price
(or NAV for Distribution Yield – NAV) |
The Distribution Yield figures are as of the most recent month-end and should not be considered the equivalent of total return performance calculations. This change does not impact the Income Distribution figures already being reported.
